Surrounding noise can vary a lot. The most "easy" noise to attenuate is the car noise, since this is static low frequency noise, not harming the speech signal too much. Airport, bable and office noise is much harder to remove without sacrificing the speech intilibility.

The VMX 100 uses dual microphone technology to create a directionality of the incoming sounds. This will also to some extend lower background noise across different sound environments. However, background noise is not cancelled completely, but sounds speech understanding is maximized compared to most competitors with DSP noise cancelling and create VoiceMax.
