How can I avoid operating the mobile unit hook switch and lifting the handset every time the phone rings?
|
There are 3 ways of simplifying your operation with the phone:
- Voicelink Automatic function.
The voicelink automatic functionality is based on audio detection of the received signal from the telephone. The system starts up the wireless link (sound in the headset) when a received signal is detected from the telephone - e.g. a dial tone or speech from your conversation partner. If no signal is detected for 30 seconds the line will be shut down, but will be reactivated the instant a received signal is detected. Please refer to the instruction manual for information on how to activate the Voicelink Automatic function.
- Always having an open connection to the phone.
By keeping the link open (blue light on the mobile unit is flashing), you can avoid pressing the hook switch (center button on the mobile unit) every time the phone rings ? similar to the Voicelink Automatic function. By keeping the wireless link activated you only have to activate/deactivate the telephone while making and receiving calls.
If the 12 hour battery time is not enough, you can easily perform a hot swap (even during a call) by switching to the other (normally fully charged) mobile unit. The hot swap operation can be performed as many times as you like without losing the call. This means "infinite" operation time for the system. Please refer to the instruction manual for further information to the hot swap function. Please note: to operate the system like this, the Voicelink Automatic feature must be deactivated.
- Using the DW 800 together with TCI 01
If you connect your phone to the DW 800 through the TCI 01 product, you only have to operate the hook switch on the mobile unit (no need to lift the handset) if you use on of following interfaces:
- Mechanical handset lifter - AEI interface - DHSG interface
For installation details, phone compatibility and TCI01 FAQs, please refer to TCI01 manual.
