Surrounding noise can vary a lot. The easiest noise to attenuate is the noise inside a car, since this is a static, low frequency noise, not interfering with speech too much.
Airport noise, people talking, and office noise are much harder to remove without sacrificing speech intelligibility, so callers may hear noise from your end if you are in such an environment.

The VMX 100 uses VoiceMax™ dual microphone technology to create a directionality of the incoming sounds. This will also to some extend lower background noise across different sound environments. However, background noises are not cancelled completely, but sound speech understanding is maximized compared to most competitors with DSP noise cancelling.
