Sennheiser Communications Introduces Its First Premium Bluetooth®

Copenhagen, June 2008 – Sennheiser Communications, an innovative and leading producer of advanced headsets, has launched its first Bluetooth stereo headset in its music range. The MM 200 is an ideal solution for conducting hands-free conversations from a mobile phone and wirelessly listening to crisp audio transmission in stereo from music, video, gaming or other entertainment applications on Bluetooth-enabled devices.

With more users downloading music into mobile phones than ever before, there is a clear demand for high quality headset. As a leader in audio acoustics, Sennheiser Communications utilized the latest in stereo headphone technology to produce a premium headset that offers unparalleled sound quality, comfort, and flexibility to meet this need.

Weighing less than one ounce (28 grams), the headset is lightweight and versatile. It is designed with corded headphones and a small black and silver pendent control with built-in Bluetooth that is worn either lanyard style and/or with a clothing clip.

In-ear headphones with subtle in-ear monitors fit snugly and securely in the ear canal enhancing sound quality and enabling high audio isolation against environmental noise. Since the headset comes with three silicon ear pads (small, medium and large), an ideal individual fit for optimal acoustics is achieved.

“The uncompromising stereo sound together with multiple wearing styles and comfort of the MM 200 maximize the enjoyment of mobile multimedia entertainment,” said Guido Karbautzki, Head of Sales & Marketing, Sennheiser Communications. “As the first headset in our Bluetooth music series, which also includes a dedicated headset for the Apple iPhone, the MM 200 is far superior to most standard headsets supplied by device manufactures and is a must have accessory for any audiophile or serious music aficionados.”

Superb stereo sound is made possible with high dynamics and excellent bass response in addition to in-ear headphone design. A high quality omni-directional electret condenser microphone and dynamic, neodymium magnet speakers ensure crystal clear audio on both ends of the line. The headset wirelessly connects to devices via the latest Bluetooth standards including Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) stereo and Bluetooth 2.0 + Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) so users can simultaneously connect two devices and switch between a mobile phone and an MP3 player, for example, and never miss a call.

The MM 200 Bluetooth stereo headset is available online and in retail stores worldwide.
